Ronnie,
I have dysthymia. I took Serzone at various dosages, high and low, for six months. It did not help my mood, but I did feel very fatigued, detached, and it gave me cognitive impiairment.
When you talk about dealing with negative thought, first choice is a low dose antipsychotic.
Amisulpride, an antipsychotic, was effective for my negative thoughts. Extensive studies have shown low dose amisulpride to be effective for dysthymia. It worked on my dysthymia. For an info. piece on amisulpride email me at andrewb@seanet.com.
