Natg,

I've been taking 7 Keto for over 6 months at a dose of 100mg./day for neuroprotection of my hippocampus. The hippocampus often is found to be severely damaged in depressives due the excess release of stress hormones. Damage to the hippocampus worsen one's memory among other things. I have had no interactions with the meds I have taken during this time or had any side effects from it. I have heard of it being used for increased energy, let us know if the effect sustains itself over the long term. The energy enhancing effect is probably due to the upregulation of thyroid funtion (i.e. T3). Your reaction to 7 Keto may indicate that a thyroid function test should be taken or a trial with Cytomel undertaken.

At first when taking 7 keto my muscles didn't get as sore from exercise, but this effect, alas, faded away. BTW, 7 keto is a version of DHEA that does not convert to sex hormones and therefore supposedly is safe in doses such as 100mg/day, but there are no long-term studies to confirm this.
