Switching from Effexor XR to Effexor Non XR

HI
Recently my doctor switched from xr twice a day to regular 1 time a day. Not sure why. Has this ever happened to anyone? Any effects good or bad? I'm was taking 150 mg.. same amount now, just not Xr. Any comments.. please respond.
