I have found that Neurontin (gabapentin), used for epilepsy but more recently as a mood stabilizer, has helped me. I take it with Wellbutrin for what my doctor terms chronic refractory major depression. I don't know whether this pairing is "enough," but seems to be the best combo so far.

I have sometimes wondered whether I had bipolar symptoms. I agree with Noa's opinion of finding the right drugs and disregarding the Dx.

Best wishes for the new year.
