I haven't been taking it long, but no weight gain yet. My doctor prescribed it to help me sleep (and secondary benefit of mood stabilizer)and I love it b.c. I fall asleep within 20 min. of going to bed and sleep through the night, but, unlike Remeron, it doesn't knock me out after I take it. I can stay up as long as I choose, it just makes me sleepy and able to sleep all night. With the Remeron, I didn't have any choice but to go to sleep 30 min. after taking it. I felt like a zombie. I hated it.
