Effexor XR in large doses

Posted by ItsJustMe on February 8, 2001, at 18:47:36

Can someone please explain to me the pros/cons of Effexor XR in large doses?

I currently take 450 mg/day and it still doesn't seem to be working.

Can I go much higher? My doc's feeling is that you keep increasing the dose until it either works or you can't handle it.

I'm just wondering if I should try something else. My doc knows of someone that went all the way up to 750 mg/day and then got better, so I do still hold out hope.

Any thought by those that know a lot about these meds?
