Does Zoloft help with panic and anxiety?

Posted by Margit on February 10, 2001, at 20:15:41

I have been on Paxil in te past few years, which worked well for me. Unfortunetly, I thought I could do without and stopped. After trying again I developed a severe acid reflux with it. I stayed on it for 9 month, but couldn't handle the reflux. Then my pdoc put me on Remeron - didn't work. We tried Effexor which caused me more stomach upset, and now I am taking Nortriptyline 60mg. I am not on a therapeutic level yet and my doc thought to augment it with Zoloft to give it a boost. I am terrified, because all the SSRIs cause GI problems and I am very sensitive to that. Does anybody have any good experiences with Zoloft you could share. I also like to hear the the not so good ones, so I can prepare myself. I hope this time it will work, because I can't stand this any more. BTW, I suffer from PD, anxiety, some OCD, and depression. Thanks.
