Remeron

I have been taking 30 mg of Remeron for a week and have felt nothing yet. How long does it take to go into affect? I am also tired all day and can't sleep well at night. I take it at night and it calms me down a little; but doesn't put me to sleep. Will this side effect pass as I keep taking it? I hate to switch to something else and start all over again. Depression medicines take so long to work! Any suggestions or feedback will help!
