Yes! Wellbutrin caused me extreme irritability, even hostility plus very rapid cycling. I didn't have a clue that I was bipolar then and my docs must not have either, as they never suggested such a diagnosis to me. It is still reported in the literature that Wellbutrin is much less likely to cause cycling in comparison to tricylics or other ADs. From my experience and anecdotal reports that is really hard for me to believe. If you have this kind of a reaction it might be best to ask your doc if you fit into the bipolar spectrum. It's a matter of your well being, not of labels. ADs are not always the answer. Sometimes they do more harm than good. They should always be used judiciously.
