Michael, Andrew,
My own Mirapex response has been great. It's going on 2 1/2 months now and everything is still going strong. I noticed my response after about one week. It has done a lot to kill my anhedonia.
I take it in combo with Zyprexa which both my pdoc and I thought would a conflict but it hasn't conflicted at all. When I first started in Jan. I was also taking Wellbutrin. Since then the effects of Mirapex have allowed me to drop the WB while maintaining my main AD, Nortriptyline. I wouldn't call Mirapex exactly stimulating or activating but it has given me back my emotions. I can enjoy parts of life that had been a drag for a long time.
I'm actually looking forward to the spring and a return to the golf course. Maybe I'll even join a league this year. I've been playing in a dart league for the last month and find it very enjoyable. A year ago none of this would have been possible.
I'm not saying that Mirapex is the be-all and end-all but it has gotten me over that big hump. My pdoc had never tried it before and is now considering it for some of his harder to treat patients based on my response.
Andrew, If you are going to put together an analysis of Mirapex, search my name or e-mail me and I would be glad to help.
Chris
