Wellbutrin no longer effective

Posted by BRUCE OCHILTREE on March 10, 2001, at 17:28:41

I have been taking Wellbutrin about 5 years. When I 1st started, I had great energy despite only being able to sleep 3-4 hours a night. It worked almost too well, I could not even think about drinking a cup of coffee. Noww though, I take 450 mgs. Wellbutrin, 50 mgs. Adderall, and 30 mgs. Remeron and do not get anything like the relief I did previously. I guess it is just too bad about amineptine and the like, or is there anything similar available in the US? Has anyone had an experience like mine, and can anyone suggest an augmentation strategy ( M.A.O.I.s, Effexor or what-ever)? Nothing with a fatal consequence, preferably, my Dr. won't go for that, and suicide is not an acceptable outcome at this time. anyone?
