You're going to get used to the topomax really quickly. It's really not going to help you sleep. I just picked up the lamictal for my son. The pharmacist told me it will make him sleepy but everything else points to possible hypomania so I don't know about lamictal either.KarenK

I can, however take a short nap after my noontime dose of lamictal sometimes if I'm really tired.I'm on 25 of topamax and 400 of lamictal. I will taper down further in a few days to 200 *tegretol* and up to 50 topamax-this would be the second week of adjustments.I might possibly decrease lamictal in time,we'll have to see, but plan to stay on it.I'm not ordered yet to go higher than 100mgs topamax after thie month of adjustments.Is this my maintenance?I don't know.
