I have a pen-pal in s. africa who went through a simialr experience with klonopine, which is called rivotril there. He took too much, and then got off it too quickly and had seizures and has been diagnosed with epilepsy for the rest of his life. I am not writing this to scare anyone, because everyone responds to meds differently.
> I have been on klonopine for 9 years now. I am only of 1/2 mg. now for severe social anxiety. am also on 10mg celexs for chronic depression and ocd. Nothing seems to help my ocd/depression. the klonopine does help my oce and anxiety, but it is very addictive and I am hooked on it and want to get off but am very nervous to do so. My previous efforts did not go well. I cannot up the celexa because of side effects such as agitation, talilng too much, and insomnia. Has anyone else had these effects from ssris like celexa and paxil? Also, can anyone tell me how they were able to get off klonopine? good luck too all of you, I know living with these problems is very hard

I have a question to all who talk about Klonopin being addictive. In what way is it addictive. I do know that one has to go off of it slowly. Is it withdrawal? What other symptoms??? I am on either .5 or 1 mg. for muscle pain and have been on it for 3 years. All I know is that it provides blessed relief
