Not really. Provided you eat meat you are getting lots of aminos. The body has a feed back loop so adding more 5htp does not increase seratonin past a point. Depression is not caused by a lack of seratonin, it is the regulation of seratonin that
improves mood.

This is called sleep paralysis. The body is paralized during some dream states and if you
wake up during one of these you will get "sleep paralysis". It is normal.
