My pdoc who specializes in panic/anxiety only uses benzos in the treatment of panic disorder. He feels AD's worsen the course. I have been on the same dose of klonopin (2mg tid) for over 3 years. The one mistake I made was taking paxil from an ex-shrink which made my panic attacks considerably worse. Hope this helps- judy
