REMERON - WEIGHT GAIN

Posted by sweetmarie on April 14, 2001, at 6:13:44

I`ve already started a new thread, but it seems to have disappeared.

What I really want to know is whether weight gain on Remeron is caused by:

a) Increased appetite (which I can cope with)

OR

b) Changes in metabolic rate (which I can`t cope with).

I`ve gained an awful lot of weight on Nardil, and I`m shortly to start taking Remeron (or Zispin) in conjunction with Efexor and Lamictal. I`m terribly afraid that I will just get even bigger, and I`m far too big for my liking at the moment (I`ve always been slim, but currently look like a beached whale).

However, being so resistant to treatment, I can`t afford to pass up any opportunity that may make me feel better. This (the potential weight gain) however, is a big worry.

Can anyone help?

Ta,

Anna.

p.s. I`m sorry if this is a duplication.
