Eyelid Twitches

Posted by tresni on May 13, 2001, at 14:18:47

Hello to Everyone.
I have been taking methylphenidate (Concerta & Ritalin) for about 6 months now. For about 2 months I have been experiencing muscle twitches in my eyelid every day. It doesn't bother me, and I will gladly live with this side effect as I am doing so well with this medication. My fear is that it is going to turn into some sort of permanent neurological damage. I am 33 years old and don't have & never have had Tourette Syndrome. Has anyone had a similar experience on Ritalin? How about with Dexedrine or Adderall? I thought I'd get some insight before I bring it up to my psychiatrist. I am doing so well with the Ritalin & Concerta & don't want to switch to something else if I don't have to.....Ahhh, the eternal question, "To twitch or switch?" Interesting thing is, is that I did methamphetamine for 10 years daily & never had this happen!?!
Thanks, Tresni
