I only made it through the starter pack of Effexor before I switched to Wellbutrin, but I did have very noticable side-effects for more than a month when I quit Prozac: dizzy "flashes," odd auditory warbles (like a tape getting eaten by a tape player, or a My Bloody Valentine song :) ).

This isn't supposed to happen with fluoxetine because its elimination half-life is measured on a geological time scale, but it happened to me. Actually, the symptoms didn't go away completely until my first dose of Effexor (six weeks after I quit Prozac).

I'd blame it on the Effexor. Maybe taking another half-dose of that stuff, or a dose of any other old antidepressant you have lying around(?) will get rid of it. Keep in mind, though, that I have no idea what I'm talking about. :)

Cheers,
-pm
