Dr. Bob's fellow doctors speak highly of naltrexone in depression: http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Aug-antidep-with-naltrex.html

Misc. Information:Kolodziej, Monika E et al. Comorbid alcohol dependence and depression. Current Opinion in Psychiatry. 13(1):87-89, January 2000:
"Specifically, Salloum et al. studied 14 depressed patients who had been maintained on antidepressant therapy but who continued to drink heavily. The addition of naltrexone resulted in a reduction of drinking, no increase in adverse events, and a slight improvement in depression."Naltrexone has few sexual side effects, and may even help men to perform sexually:
Meston, Cindy M. PhD. The Neurobiology of Sexual Function. Archives of General Psychiatry. 57(11):1012-1030, November 2000:
"Opioid antagonists such as naltrexone have been used to treat erectile dysfunction... Naltrexone vs placebo significantly increased spontaneous erections, morning erections, and coitus in men with erectile failure..."
