To Dee, I agree with Maribeth, don't be afraid - try it - I have been on so many different ones over the past 20 years, that I have lost count. The problem that I have found with many people taking AD's is that they quit too early. My pdoc told me years ago, that until you get up to a "therapuetic" level, you're really only getting the side-effects of a med. I also found that whatever I took, my body finally got used to the med. and usually the side-effects became minimal (whether if fixed the depression was another matter!.) So, go for it Dee, you will feel so much better, I think effexor is one of the best - but, give the med. a good chance to work before quitting - expect to feel a bit "wierd" for a few days while your body adjusts, but, stay optomistic and look forward to the improved feelings and quality of life that it will give you. Good Luck - let me know how it goes! - Limey
