GBG - As a caveat to Sunnely's post, the QT prolonation with Geodon™ (ziprasidone) is far less than is seen with many other drugs (eg Orap™ - pimozide, Mellaril™ - thioridazine, Prepulsid™ - cisapride) and these drugs have been taken in high doses for long periods by many people. Just make sure your son's pdoc does check his heart sounds regularily. If the pdoc doesn't do it, definitely have the pediatrician do it. I do not believe that there is a serious problem with QT interval prolongation with Geodon, but it is a sticking point which has kept the drug out of Canada to this point. - Cam
