Start Up Anxiety with Effexor

I've been on Effexor XR at 75mg for four days for Soc.,Gen. anxiety and OCD. It seems to have increased my anxiety symptoms. How long will these side effects last for? How long of a trail should I give effexor if these symptoms continue..
