In reply to Remeron sexual(and other)side effects in woman?, posted by nike on June 4, 2001, at 1:58:54
I just posted about my experiences with remeron and sexual side effects in a post above, it isn't too bad esp. compared to the SSRI's. My solution to the sexual apathy is a mild stimulant (ritalin) but that would probably exacerbate your OCD, it brings out OCD symptoms in me, and I don't even have OCD. My biggest problems with the med are the sedation (I need to sleep at least 8 hrs, but could go for 12) and the hunger, which can lead to weight gain if you listen to your stomach instead of your mind (stomach: "I'm hungry feed me!" Mind: "I just ate a full meal *and* dessert" stomach: "I feel empty, feed me" )
I feel that the sexual side effects are pretty minimal in comparison to the SSRI drugs, and remeron has really helped with my depression and anxiety.
Hope this helps.
