Thanks, Rosalinda. Yes, I remembered a lot of negative Effexor stuff that had been since packed into the archives, but the recent stuff that I read through before posting seemed largely positive. I'll do that search. Not too many post about Serzone it seems, as compared with Effexor. Good luck on your withdrawal and on finding a better solution, too!
> My deepest sympathy to you--I feel like I've gone through a whole pharmacy of antidepressants trying to find one that doesn't affect my libido. Serzone is one I haven't tried. I DO NOT recommend Effexor: first of all, it shut down my orgasmic capacity just as badly as SSRIs had done, and second, it is highly addictive and is almost impossible to stop taking. Check out other threads re Effexor withdrawal; there's a lot of information that you won't get from the package insert. (I stopped taking Effexor 2 weeks ago because of the sexual side effects--even after tapering off the dosage over about 6 weeks the withdrawal has been so bad that I've been pretty much bedridden for the last two weeks.)
