> I've read these posts for 3 years, but never actively participated. Well, here goes.
> I have moderate depression with anxiety. My big problem was excessive rage that affected my relationships. When my wife became pregnant 3 years ago, I decided to try meds (this after several years of therapy). I didn't want my kids to have to deal with a frightening dad.
> Started with Celexa -- 20, 40 and finally 60 mgs. Doc added Wellbutrin SR 150 mg twice daily (initially for smoking cessation). I felt great for 2 years. Thought I would stay on this forever (side effects of both have been minimal).
> Lately, I have noticed the depression returning along with some of the old rage. I am really bummed, because I was quite happy with the meds I have been taking. Now, I'm thinking of a switch to Effexor or Luvox (would like to try Reboxetine, but still doesn't seem to be approved). Has anyone else had an SSRI "poop out"? If so, has a switch to another SSRI helped? By the way, prior to Celexa I tried Remeron --no success. Thanks for any info, suggestions. Good luck to all.Yes, i have had the same experience more than once.
I started with prozac for one year than followed
by zoloft for one year and than effexor. Those meds
all helped with my depression and social phobia,
but poopt out after about one year.
Currently i'm on a combo of celexa and edronax
( i live in germany) wich is so far working great.
Greetings and good luck to you.
