Hi Bob,
Has the Wellbutrin SR helped you at all?
If it has, ask your doctor about taking regular Wellbutrin that is not SR (sustained release). I've noticed a difference, and my p-doc explained it to me. When taking Wellbutrin SR, the blood levels never get as high as if you were taking regular Wellbutrin. Therefore, the effect can be less stimulating. But unfortunately when modifying any anti-depressant drug theripy it can take a few weeks before you even notice any thing.
I live in TN where stimulants are a class 2 drug. Pdocs here don't even consider using stimulants for augmentation, which is a damn shame. I guess the reason why is because of their potental for abuse and distribution since they stimulate quickly with few side effects.
I've had all the symptoms that you have minus the bipolar. The Wellbutrin worked really well for me for a while, but pooped out. It just stopped working one day.
I have been taking Reboxetine for about 3 weeks which is supposed to be a selective noradrenaline reuptake blocker. Its one of the few ADs that is supposed to stimulative. So far I haven't had any side effects and I have felt pretty good over the last few days. But it is still too early to tell.
A drug called adrafinil which is another of the few stimulating anti-depressants is available overseas and if you do a search on it in psycho babble you will see a lot of positive talk about it.
From what I've read it is a French drug that the FDA hasn't gotten around to approve in the U.S. yet, but is supposed to be very effective for anergic states like ours.
I should be getting mine within a few days, and I’ll let you know how I do on it.
Here’s a link to a thread from a couple months ago about adrafinil…

PS. My p-doc had absolutely no idea what I was talking about when I brought up the subject of using Reboxetine or Adrafinil, since they haven't been approved yet here in the states. My pdoc is way behind the times so I ended up doing a lot of research on my own. This web page can be a great resource for good info.
Good Luck...
