Lamictal for unipolar ? Please help

Posted by ben on June 30, 2001, at 13:11:05

My doc wants do ad Lamictal to Paxil because my mood is not stable at all. I am always between severe depression and normal. I guess I am not bipolar (after 18 month of illness). Does anyone have good experiences ? I tried Lithium but had terrible nausea. Tried a lot of other AD s. What about the mood stabilizers Tegretol and Depakote ? I am very sensitive to side effects and thats why my doc prefers Lamictal against the others. Tegretol causes dizziness and Depakote weight gain ?

Thanks for your input.

P.S. Tried Zyprexa but a dose of 1.25 mg knocked me out :(
