I have been on Effexor XR for the past 5 years. I just started reducing my dosage from 300mg/day to 225mg/day (will be trying to get pregnant soon and, since there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info on effexor and effects on pregnancy, I'm trying to get off of it).

Effexor has been great for me. I intiallly went on it to help control my anxiety, but depression was also playing a role. I have had success that I never would have thought possible before Effexor! I gradually went up to 300mg/day over a few years, as it became necessary to increase. Maybe the higher dosage will be better for you.

Good Luck!
