Why codeine but not Ultram? - Elizabeth

Posted by Zo on July 22, 2001, at 17:20:44

Why the heck would 1/4 an ancient tylenol and codeine tab cut a spiral down of depression. .. and not Ultram?

What a disappointment, pdoc much more willing to Rx Ultram or Naltrexone. He'll write a one-time codeine, but would love to know the why and wherefore before I ask.

Am beginning to think I'm a rapid cycler - and of course it would be nice if that were controlled, so I wouldn't need any adjunct. Still, to have something to cut the moments of extreme psychic pain - and to watch them disappear (which shows just how much content they have!) is a powerful experience - and an important safety net to have in place.

Thanks,
Zo
