Decrease in effexor xr - positive feedback

Posted by AKC on July 23, 2001, at 18:24:52

Positive feedback wanted.

I am somewhat nervous. Because I want to continue increasing my topamax to 200 mg, my pdoc wants to decrease my effexor from 75 mg to 37.5. I have been on effexor for 2 years. At this level for at least a year that I can remember (at 150 I think before that). My mood has been so messed up until now, I don't recollect any problems with the earlier decrease. But I have read all the problems many of you have had decreasing or quitting effexor.

So I need a positive story or two. Anyone out there made a slight decrease without trouble? Just an encouraging word or two would help alleviate some of the fear. I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
AKC
