I didn't get used to Remeron even after two weeks at 30mg and one at 60mg. I could get out of bed ok, but if I stopped moving during the morning for more than a few minutes I'd start nodding off. Fortunately I had a job that kept me relatively active. Still, I was really disappointed that I couldn't deal with the side-effects of the stuff, 'cause on paper it looks like such a uniquely wonderful antidepressant.

But maybe you should try a week of taking it alone, and see if you get used to it. Or move up to 30mg: a dosage increase is supposed to mitigate the daytime sedation side-effects. I know you're just taking it as a sleep-aid, but it and Effexor are supposed to make a great antidepressant combo (if I remember correctly what else you're taking).

Best,
-pm
