hi. It is now 4 days since I have stopped taking my paxil. It seemed to have really had a numbing effect and also made my horrible concentration problem worse.since yesterday I have been feeling so much better. My accutane depression seems like it will all fade away in time. I am able to experience somewhat strong emotions again. I am able to experience strong passion for my fiance and music. I am looking forward to things. I am doing things which I used to enjoy before the depression. I am really starting to enjoy everything again. Such an amazing improvement over the last 4 days. Also my thinking and concentration has very much improved.
A long way to go but it's really good to be able to enjoy things again even if it's to a limited extent. 4 days ago I considered myself 2/10. 10 being the perfectly happy normal me who couldn't be any happier. Now I am at least 4/10 or higher. I went from what I'd call very severe depression to just moderate depression. I have confidence that I will keep on improving over time.
I will stick with the diet that I have had for the last 3 days. 2 bagels, some soup which I dont know the name of, large ceasar salad, 2 large hot dogs for supper and sometimes donuts and muffins. I dont want to change anything since I dont want to take any chances. Due to accutane depending what I eat could have a negative effect on my condition.
I was going to try Wellbutrin in 5 days or so along with ritalin or adderall but if i continue to recover at this rate perhaps I wont try eighter of them. many people with accutane caused depression got better simply by just waiting. The depression is supossed to go away as the accutane toxins leave the body. They can remain in the body for months and even years. But it seems it should just take maybe a few months for me to be fully better. Best case scenario maybe 5 weeks. It is such a relief to be able to enjoy things again.
