> Jeffrey Apter, who Scott also mentioned, is definitely a well-respected doctor, although it might be difficult to get an appointment (he's pretty busy and tends to travel a lot). How in the heck do you know this? I can't figure out how one teeny-tiny little brain can know so much! I've been Dr. Apter's patient for 10 years - and yes, he does travel a lot. Have you ever met him? I don't think he's taking on any private patients. If you were to mention my name, I think you'd be shown the door just that much faster.
:-)Actually, I've been thinking about touching base with him again. It has been just about a year since I last saw him. In retrospect, I've grown to appreciate him that much more.
I guess we're temporary neighbors. I live in Matawan. It's about a 45 minute drive to Nassau Street. Among other things, Matawan is noted for being the site of the shark attacks that inspired Peter Benchley to write "Jaws" (1916).
Nutsy - even if Dr. Apter isn't taking on patients, he will surely recommend some good doctors for you. He did have a staff of psychiatrists that saw patients privately - Julia Temple having been one of them. However, he may currently be devoting himself to conducting clinical trials of medications.
See you guys later.
