It has come down to more sensible eating than a strict diet. I cook everything from scratch,only using fresh ingredients. All of the prepackaged stuff has too much salt for preserving. It's just as easy to steam some fresh vegetables instead of eating canned or frozen and by doing things like making my own spaghetti sauce from fresh tomatoes I have control over the sodium content. We also have a bread maker which comes in handy.

I started out at 275 lbs (a lot thanks to Zyprexa) and this morning had hit 247 lb so I know it can be done. With my body structure I am looking to hit the 190-200 range maybe by sprintime since it's hard to get out for walks during the northern NY winters.
