My own personal experience with Risperdal was that it left me lifeless. I felt so sedated that I had no emotions. Zyprexa on the other hand gives me a good nights sleep but I'm fine in the morning and I still have the good emotions I once had. My main reason for taking the Zyprexa is to get rid of ruminating thoughts of suicide. I don't use it as a mood stabilizer although I have been able to go off of Klonopin since I've been on Zyprexa.
