Hello all :-)
I've been given orders by my doc to try celexa as it will probably help my aggression, anger, avoidence and depression. I fought him on this at first but after 3 incidences this week where I seriously wanted to hurt someone or myself...I am now taking Celexa. I've been very depressed yet being a "trooper" for over a year.
My main concern is I am a drinker who is now on a antidepressant. I drink anywhere from 1-3 cases of pounders a week. My doctor knows this. One thing I have learned in dealing with my doctor is not to lie. :-)
I've also been on ativan for 8 years. He's got the script written to take 1mg in am and pm. I take it whenever I feel like I need it...usually in the evening I'll take 1 or 1/2 a mg for sleep.
I am concerned with my alcohol intake and the effects it may have on the celexa. We're (doc and me) looking for someone for me to talk to, as I have withdrawn from the world in the last 2 years. Finding someone acceptable in my small town and with my insurance is hard if not impossible.
Privacy is a big issue.
Basically I have to use someone within our system. (I work for a health system..lucky me. ;-) )I'm afraid much of the time, avoid the rest of the time and am incredibly confrontational and angry in the remainder.
But.. I am very pleased to meet you.
:-)Sebbi - just babbling. It helps
