After starting the Zyprexa, I gained about 45 lbs. I went absolutely carb crazy. They says that the appetite increase wears off after awhile but that hasn't been the case for me. Chris is right, you have to eat smarter. Try to avoid foods that take a long time to metabolize in your system. I eat a very light breakfast, usually skip lunch and try to eat a healthy dinner. I also do a lot of walking in my job and try to make sure that I take a walk every night after dinner. Exercise is important. I've managed to lose about 20 lbs in the last 5 weeks.

I wish you luck with the Zyprexa, it's a great med. But it definitely has it's drawbacks.
