> You certainly have my prayers. The positives are you are treating him early, even though I had symptoms at that age, I wasn't properly diagnosed until my 20's. Lamictal is good, very stimulating- so watch for manic symptoms along with rash. What is the main problem- manic, depressed or mixed symptoms? Are the psychotic symptoms under control (I had auditory hallucinations). I wish you and your son all the best- Judy
Thankyou July! My son was in the beginning very very manic- but now it is more mixed and rapid cycling, he has shown anger and a bit of agression at school, along with being depressed and also manic. I know that above a certain dosage it is a stimulating drug- my son needs high doses, so I suspect we will be at about 100mg, approximately. He has just had an increase in geodon, he is now at 140mg. He was paranoid at the doctors the other day, and the pdoc felt we needed to raise the geodon. So hopefully both drugs will be good for him at optimal doses!!!11 Thanks again, Karen Curtis
