memory loss from ECT perminant?

Posted by adamie on November 2, 2001, at 20:16:33

hi. I had ECT maybe a month ago. My depression has caused my memory to be very poor but it seems after the ECT it has been even worse. Extremely horrible actually. I have been talking with my ex-fiance for like 9 months for example. And I hardly remember anything. I cant recall almost anything. Same with the rest of my past. Will this severe memory loss go away in time or is ECT known to cause such effects perminently? Also I suffer from extreme inability to think and concentrate aside from my severe depression.
