You can't have the flu shot if you have or have had:

1. previous allergic reaction or serious adverse reaction to the flu shot (e.g., Guillain-Barre syndrome)

2. allergic reaction to eggs or egg products

3. pregnant or may be pregnant

4. currently have fever or signs of infection

Receiving flu shot while on psychotropic meds is generally safe.

Your pharmacist, physician or clinic where you intend to receive your flu shot should give you a printed information about the flu shot and the list of contraindications before you receive it. Make sure you carefully read it and understand its contents before getting the shot.

It just dawned on me, does anyone know of any possible negative interactions between flu shot meds and depression meds, any experience? I have a call into my doc but don't expect to hear back in time.
