for me it is. It does not makes me anxious, but when I drink some, it "lifts" my depression for a _short_ time, followed by a down ("more down than before").
My explanation: caffeine speeds up the metabolism of sugar, so therefor more sugar than normal gets consumed by the cells, which leads after some time to a shortage of "energy", because there is not unlimited usable sugar left in the body.
I reduced my coffee drinking. I cant let my fingers from it.
my Doc told me to avoid caffeine when taking medications (there are indeed some interactions)
