glenn,

Zyprexa is often rx'd for people with Bipolar disorder, ruminations, obsessive thinking, manic behavior, etc. It's not just for people who display psychotic behavior. I take 2.5 mgs at bedtime which has been the perfect dose for me. Many take a much higher dose.

As akc said, if weight gain is a concern for you, you may want to talk to your doc about it. Many have reported weight gain with the Zy. I gained 45 lbs in 10 months after I started taking it. My doctor added Topamax, and along with a good diet and some exercise, I have been able to lose 20 of those.

Good luck and let us know how it works for you.

Greg
