I am taking bupropion at the moment, which helps me to feel a little more relaxed around people, although I am still much more nervous than I would like.
I've taken paroxetine in the past which also helped, and sertraline too which seemed to work the best for social phobia but made me too anxious and hyper. Also reboxetine which made me worry a lot less about what other people think, but at the same time seemed to decrease my interest in socialising and made me feel more depressed. I've also taken lots of other antidepressants, but I think those were the ones that seemed to make a difference to SP in some way.
I haven't tried Nardil or Parnate so I only know about these from what other people with SP have said and from what I have read about them. They are probably the ones most likely to improve SP, but I keep putting them off because of the diet - basically I am worried about forgetting. I did that the first day of moclobemide and ate cheese, luckily it doesn't really matter with that one as long as you don't eat huge amounts of tyramine-containing food.
There are message boards devoted to social phobia and I have seen several people on this board say they have social phobia, so we're not the only ones :)
