I take Imovane. It works pretty well for "regular" insomnia, but as with all sedatives I'm becoming tolerant of it. It doesn't give me a hangover in moderate doses, unlike chloral hydrate, antihistamines, and tricyclics (the last two didn't even help after the first week or two).Unfortunately Imovane doesn't do as good a job of knocking me out when I have medication-induced insomnia (up to 4 of the higher strength ones a night!), and it also doesn't prevent me from awakening prematurely.
Overall, a good drug though.
