In God's Name why would anyone in college
be waking up at 6:30 am? ;)Find someone who went to class and get
the notes or something. Or if you must
attend an early class tell about your
medical issue and you should be able to
work around this.-john

My problem is this, for some reason I require 8hrs of sleep. Not 7.5, not 8.5, exactly 8. Last night I got 7 hrs of sleep and all day I've felt crappy. It is often difficult for me to stay asleep for a full 8 hrs, though I usually manage to force myself to. But next semester of college is coming up and when that happens it is often difficult to get more than 6 hrs of sleep because I have to be up at 6:30ish. Even now, most days I wake up and am extremely groggy/crappy feeling for about 2-3 hrs. I'm thinking that Modafinil would help with this, perhaps 100mg's every morning and evening. Anyone try this for a similar problem? I've used modafinil before w/o a prescription...for those of you that have used it, how much convincing did it take with your psydoc to get it prescribed? Also, does insurance usually cover it? Lastly, if anyone knows, would it be legal for a pdoc to write me a prescription for modafinil and then I buy it from overseas in bulk quantities in case insurance won't cover it?
