Dear Borderliner,
You will be perfectly safe while taking Zyprexa, and here's why:
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Zyprexa has been prescribed to over 6 million patients in 84 countries worldwide since its market entry in 1996.TARDIVE DYSKINESIA AND PARKINSONISM
During clinical trials of Zyprexa Extrapyramidal symptoms and their severity were evaluated and recorded at all visits using the Simpson-Angus Scale (parkinsonism) and the Barnes Akathisia Scale. These scales demonstrated no differences between ZYPREXA and placebo. Anticholinergic use was infrequent in both the groups treated with ZYPREXA and placebo.LAST NOTE
Overall, ZYPREXA is not disruptive to daily routines for most patients in that it can be taken once daily, on empty or full stomach, and ***does not require routine blood monitoring***.
