Hi 3 beer,

I read an abstract recently that Lamictal
increases brain levels of the amino acid taurine.
Taurine is a weak nmda antagonist.
This would help with stimulant poop out.

I had really bad stimulant poop out on Adderall and found that
Klonopin removed the poop out. Since then I found
lots of research papers that gabaergic meds can help
alleviate stimulant sensitization. Also meds
that antagonize nmda receptors. When I recently
added Topamax (a gabaA enhancer + AMPA glutamate
mediator) to my Lamictal, I found that the combo
completely removed my tolerance to stimulants
(at least caffeine and pseudo-ephedrine). Haven't
tested other stimulant like amphetamines, but
I used to build up tolerance to pseudoephedrine
in 2-3 days.

In regards to the Lamictal, it seems once one
gets to a healty dose ( greater than 100 mg) the
amount in the body won't waver much depending on
the time of day the medicine is taken. That's one
thing that is really nice about the medicine; the
once a day dosing.

Regards,
John
