It definitely does. When I first started taking Paxil I was on 20mg - it was like magic for my PD. Then after a few months I started getting break through panic attacks. I noticed the drug info recommended 40mg for PD - so with the OK from my PDoc I went (slowly) up to 40mg. Went panic free for 3 years - then decided to taper off. (Due to the weight gain and sexual side effects). Unfortunately the PA's came back and the Paxil wasn't nearly as effective when I started it again. I never needed any other medication when I was on 40mg of Paxil.
