Trazodone is actually an anti depressant in a class of its own, that has been around for years. It is now more commonly used to promote and aid sleep because it makes you very tired. Its non addictive, so a good alternative to Xanax. I have only just started taking it, so I'll tell you how it goes !! Before this I was taking Lorazepam.
