To go by what meds generally (on the med grapevine)may cause the *least* hypomania in bipolars can be VERY deceiving. Wellbutrin triggered about as much or more hypomania than anything else. SSRI's in "usual" doses trigger far worse hypomania for me than TCA's ever have. Thus far stimulants have had the least hypomania associated with them, but they provoke a lot of anxiety. Oh, you betya work screens for amphetamines of any shape or color. If you stub your toe and ask the nurse for a bandaid-it gets written up and you get hauled for a piss test. If I am taking *anything* that is going to result in *any* possibility of "illegal" metabolites showing up in my urine/blood for *whatever* reason I want my ass covered with my doc's script.
